Honestly, unless it's one of those instances where I was very, very close to the person, I don't go. Ever since my Dad died, I just can't do funerals any more.

I'm very glad to hear that you and Cary were NOT in a terrible accident. It is amazing what some people will do just to get a little bit further ahead that someone else. Sheesh! Wouldn't that have been something, though, if you had gotten their picture! I'd love to do that many times!

Have a wonderful weekend! Glad I could catch up!

Cheers,
JenJenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06683486631901017529noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4834267977604421778.post-48809243039279477742012-10-12T12:17:51.666-07:002012-10-12T12:17:51.666-07:00There's something about funerals that makes us...There's something about funerals that makes us look inside ourselves -- and then makes us more aware of how we move in the world, how we relate to others; we have only one opportunity to live this one life with purpose.Deb Gouldhttp://debgould.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4834267977604421778.post-60835307156330635592012-10-12T11:18:35.693-07:002012-10-12T11:18:35.693-07:00A very thoughtful post after some rather sobering ...A very thoughtful post after some rather sobering experiences. You certainly had a lot of food for thought, and expressed your feelings well. These sobering experiences, while not "fun," definitely add richness and depth to life when you have eyes to see them, as you obviously do.Kathy A. When I saw the picture of your beautiful candles and the question about the accidents, I thought the two were linked at first. This made me do a double take as three years ago my daughter lost everything (but not her life thank goodness) in a house fire caused by a candle. It was an expensive one in a glass holder just as yours are, and it suddenly cracked spitting out wax and exploding. It was near the window, caught the drapes and away it went. My daughter grabbed her laptop and purse and ran for her life. We treat candle with a huge amount of respect these days.
Little Nellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11862657943846727987noreply@blogger.com
