The Decorating Begins:





Well, today turned out the be the official first day of decorating. Yesterday, BFH cleaned the carpets ... and did an excellent job. Today, I brought in the decorations and started doing up the living room. I'm hoping we'll get the heavy tree lugged in from the garage and get it put together tomorrow or the next day. (Last year I gave up and bought a fake tree. I grew up in the valley, where real Oregonions do not get fake trees. But, after 8 Christmases here, I gave up. With dry air and forced air heat, real trees are so dead by Christmas day that it is scary to turn on the lights.) Stay tuned for pictures of a pretty tree!
