Bliss Blessings

Nancy, Terra and Nigel

I met my Nancy in 1984.  She is awesome.   And, so are her kids.

They have so much to celebrate in this month of April.

Nigel just finished up Marine Boot Camp by completing the Crucible yesterday.  Wow, Nigel, way to go man.  Cary and I are so proud of you!  Thank you for volunteering to serve our country.  Thank you for volunteering to protect us.  You rock!

Terra is getting married to a doctor in a few weeks, moving to the east coast and going to law school.  Congratulations, Terra!  You have accomplished so much, and we are very proud of you also.  Many blessings on your new life with your new husband.  You rock too!

But most of all, I am so proud of Nancy, for who she is, and for what she has accomplished in her own life.  You really, really rock!

"The Crucible is a test every recruit must go through to become a Marine. It tests every recruit physically, mentally and morally and is the defining moment in recruit training. The Crucible takes place over 54-hours and includes food and sleep deprivation and over 45 miles of marching. The entire Crucible event pits teams of recruits against a barrage of day and night events requiring every recruit to work together to solve problems, overcome obstacles and help each other along the way. The obstacles they face range from long marches, combat assault courses, the leadership reaction course, and the team-building warrior stations."

They were awake for 20 hours before they started this, too.
