Coos Bay Story #2: The Pier and the Seagulls

Saturday morning we woke up early.  Cary was really tired, but agreed to go sight seeing with me so that I could take pictures.  As long as I drove, which was fine with me.  It was a beautiful day!

First we went downstairs to eat breakfast and find out how to get to the ocean.  Come to find out, it was about 15 miles away from where we were.

Our first stop was this boat ramp area with an old, crumbling pier and a newer one that you could walk on.

No dogs were allowed, but seagulls apparently were:

They were lined up, peacefully, minding their own business.  Until Cary and I decided to take a long walk down a short pier.

They did not want to move, and stood their ground as long as they could.  They waited until we were a foot or so away from them and then flew off a few at a time.

The last one fled.  It was so funny!

This pigeon stayed the whole time.  "Fearless" was his name.

The seagulls found other spots to perch.

Beautiful pictures, if I do say so myself!
