#1 - The La Pine Independence Day Parade:

Some of my photos were featured on the local news station! Cool!  Mine are numbers 8-13 on there.  Here is the link: Z21 4th of July Scrapbook Slide Show

We hopped in the car and drove to downtown La Pine for a good spot to watch the parade.  We had a great view, but the shadows were all wrong for taking pictures.  So, I had to go through each and every one of these to lighten them up, dang it!.  The colors are not that great in some of them.  These pictures are of people we know.  The rest are on the slide shows.

Announcers:  R.L. Garrigus and Anne Gawith

Shawna James

Shawna's dancing daughter on
The Rising Stars Preschool float.

Mike Shields' jailbird bus.

The Legion Riders

Larry Matthews

Steve Gray

Jimmy's girl Maykala hitches a ride
with a friend of her grandpa.

Jimmy's boys:  Ethan in the blue shirt,
and Logen on the end (right side).
It is kind of hard to recognize them
without their mohawks.

Gene Whisnant and his family.
He is a great guy.  Vote for him!

Little Missy

Joe and Heidi

Max Shields and his gang.

That is Jill in the truck!

Larry again.

The happy photographers!
Cary is pitching in on the photo taking,
and is really good at it.

I sincerely appreciate your comments! If you don't see your comment posted immediately, don't worry. I have comment moderation on here to help filter out spam. It will become visible as soon as I read it, and I do that several times daily. It just seems easier than using the word verification option. I am so sorry, but I am not accepting anonymous comments at this time. You can email me at: oregongiftsofcomfortandjoy@hotmail.com and I will happily add your comment to this post. Thank you so much! ~ Kathy M.
