Siesta Schedule:

Yesterday I was thinking about my daily schedule and how I always seem to feel the need to rest around 2:00.  By then I am usually wiped out.

I am a morning person.  I get up early, blog and catch up on my computer stuff.  Then, I get to work on my chores, errands and other projects for a total of 6 to 8 hours of non-stop business. When 2:00 comes around, it is siesta time for me.  I am ready to rest.  On some days that means reading a book, on others it means watching a little t.v. and taking a nap.  After that, I am ready to get some more things done, though not at my morning pace.

I started thinking about babies and toddlers taking their afternoon naps, and of Latin American countries who have incorporated the tradition of siestas into their way of living.  Since I happen to have a fluid schedule for the time being, I have unconsciously adopted the same pattern.  Hmmm.  I wonder what would happen if everybody in the whole world got to take a nap each day?

Maybe we would all be nicer to one another.

  1. Hey Kathy! I don't know if I've ever mentioned to you before, but I LOVE naps and I really need them many days! I'm kind of a combination morning AND night person...with a nap in between! :)
