Drive-by Photoshots of Madras, Warm Springs and Mt. Hood:

On the way to Washington, I stuck my camera out of the window and held on to it tight as Cary drove the car.  Some of these are kind of blurry, but it was so pretty that I couldn't help but give it a try.  There are a lot of photos in this post.  Maybe I should have made these into a slide show, but here are they are.

Outside of Madras:

Warm Springs Indian Reservation:

This is Mt. Hood, taken through the dirty windshield.
It didn't turn out too bad.

These trees are closer to the pass, near Blue Box Canyon:

FYI:  It is really difficult to get a good shot of Mt. Hood from the passenger seat, with your hand out the window driving along on curves.  Still, you can see a bit of the mountain:

At the top of the Mt. Hood mountain pass, there is a rest area/tubing and bunny hill ski lift right.  We stopped and watched the fun for a few minutes:

I hope that you enjoyed the view.  It is such a pretty drive.  Then you hit Portland and I-5 and for us, rain, so I gave up on the drive-by photo shots.

  2. Thank you, Gloria! I know what you mean about the house and trees ... they had hard frost/icy thing going on. I probably could have gotten some awesome photos of those if we would have stopped, but we were on a mission, lol.
