Rednesday: My Vintage Toys

It is Rednesday once again!  I have posted this collage on my blog a while back, but that was before I knew about Rednesday.  I just thought that I would put it on here again, for those of you who missed it the first time.  Not everything is red, so it's up to you to play "I Spy the Red Toy", but I think that even the un-red things are pretty neat:

Many of these toys and games came from the Sunday School classroom at the church I used to work at.

These lovely ladies came from St. Vinnie's and were only $2.50 each.  I couldn't wait to get them safely home.

Please check out Sue's It's A Very Cheery World and look at the other Rednesday posts when you get a chance.  Thank you, Sue, for hostessing this fun linky party.

Have a wonderful day, friends!

  1. You have plenty of reds scattered in all these shots. I enjoyed so much viewing all your goodies. I especially like the lovely ladies.

  2. Hi LV ... thanks so much for stopping by. I'm glad you enjoyed the photos. I thought that there was enough red to count and am happy that you thought so too.

  7. I love the vintage toys and did a post on decorating with them today too. Love Fisher Price toys, I don't have many of them, but am always on the lookout!

  8. Oh, I just love your vintage toy collection! I have a few of those things myself, but I especially like the clock and the apple. There's an apple like that at an antique store that I go to, and I always pick it up to see if they've finally reduced the price, so that I can bring it home. $27 is just too much for me!
    Happy REDnesday!

  9. Hi Leslie,

Thanks for your kind words. I used tons of vintage Fisher Price toys, but my ex was mean and got rid of them all after I left him. I am FINALLY starting to get over that ... 12 years later. I would have been the envy of blogland with that collection, lol!

    Hi Carol,

Thank you! OMG, $27 for that? I had no idea. Well, I can calm myself with the idea that I would never sale (not the apple, or the whole other set of stuff that I no longer have). It was given to me from our church preschool classroom when we closed (as is some of that stuff in these photos).

    I appreciate you stopping by!
