Ceramic Santa Display:

Hi,
I wanted to show you my ceramic Santa pitcher and mugs that I got at a garage sale several years ago.  They remind me of Nana Marie, who was a nanny to my daughters' dad and his siblings when they were little.  Nana Marie made each child a mug and wrote their names on the bottom.

The vintage tablecloth was either my Grandma T.'s or my Mom's.  If I got it from Mom, she may be wondering where it went to and will want it back!  She reads my blog, so, if it is yours, Mom, and you want it back, just let me know.


This is an easy little decorating trick for inexpensive ornaments.  I suppose that I could have also stuck some white mini lights in there too and made it a lamp.  Hey, that isn't a bad idea!


This came from my step-mom, Jill.  It is a music box, and when you wind it up, Santa and his wife dance all over the mirror.  A keepsake treasure for sure.


This is part of my Grandma T.'s Christmas china.  
Grandma T. had a lot of cool dishes.  
The wooden ornaments were a gift, and are only a few years old.






These are just some red filler for the display.  I did make those heart ornaments though, a long time ago.  I think I made them for Valentines Day, but they still look pretty for Christmas.  I'll hang them on the tree if we ever get it put up.

When I was just a baby, my Mom worked for a pediatrician named Dr. Tingle.  Dr. Tingle made a precious heirloom stocking for each of her employees children in 1959.  This is mine.  Thank you, Dr. Tingle!  I can only knit simple scarfs; I cannot even begin to imagine how she did this:

I also decided to put this on Marty's Table Top Tuesday at "A Stroll Through Life ", even though it is really Wednesday.  This is a tabletop display (except for the stocking), and I have a feeling that Marty won't mind that I am a day late.  So, head on over there too and see what's up!

    I know someone who is looking for your little santa cups. I have 3 and trying not to give then up.

    Your Mom will for sure wnat that cute tablecloth back, maybe not since she is a mom and knows her daughter loves it. My Mom use to give me whatever I wanted of hers, makes me cry now

    What Christmas treasures and such memories. I love your confession to your mom and then your willingness to give it back! That made me smile.     Lol ... yeah, I thought if I put it to my Mom in public, she would say sure, just keep it! I'm sad that you are missing your Mom.

    Sorry, but my Santa mugs are going to my girls to add to their Nana Marie collection. Not for sale. Your friend is going to have a hard time getting anybody to give 'em up, I'm thinking.

    Such pretty things and I especially love the little music box with the dancing santa and mrs. -- I haven't seen one of them in years! That's definitely an heirloom and a keeper.
