If Shadows Could Talk ...

IF SHADOWS COULD TALK

If shadows could talk,
Just what would they say?
If you listen close,
You’ll hear them, you may.
Shadows do chatter
And gossip and talk
In the store windows,
Along the sidewalk,
Over the mountains,
On prairie and plain,
Begging for sunshine
And not days of rain;
Emboldened by light,
The stark shadows say:
“We’re out for a lark,
Please join us at play!”

Shadow Sweeper

Thank you Magical Mystical Teacher for sending me your poem as a comment under Shadow Shots Sunday!  You inspired me to match it up with some pictures I had taken during the last year or so.  Some are were taken on the McKenzie River, others on the North Fork of the Willamette River.  The one of Tommy and the orb was taken in our front yard last June, the night before Grandma Pearl's funeral.

When you guys get the chance, please check out MMT's website.  As always, you can click on any photo to enlarge it.  Also, I am adding this on to Outdoor Wednesday, and they have lots of beautiful outdoor photos over there, at:  A Southern Daydreamer

Have a blessed and wonderful day!

  4. Hi Kathy, I am now a new follower of your blog, thanks to Homemaker on a Dime! I am excited to look around some more.
I love the poem and the pictures of all the beautiful trees. It's refreshing to see other than the leafless trees in Idaho right now. (which are beautiful in their own right) Green trees just seem so far away

  5. Hi Court,

Thank you so much for stopping by and following me. I have been trying to use some of my summer and/or green pics lately ... I'm getting tired of winter already.

I'm on my way to your place right now!
