For Christmas 1968, when I was 10, my Aunt Loveta & Uncle Red, Shelley and Terry gave me this book for Christmas. I loved it. I used it when the urge to cook hit me. There are stains on the pages that must have been my favorite recipes.

I love your book, how special! Share it on Tea Time, for we all need books to share cooking with our little ones, whether for Tea or just simple cooking children can do. Love the red peppers!

ReplyDeleteThose peppers are fake? I was sure they were real! I love the cookbook, and especially the cute girl on the cover. I should just cook all day today, because we've gotten 18" of snow since yesterday, with more to come this morning!

Hi Carol, wow ... I wonder how much snow you have by now. Making food sounds like a grand idea; I hope that you don't lose power. I got those peppers at Walmart a few years ago and they have held their color.

I just love your cookbook! Just recently I spotted one at a thrift store, read through it, thought about it and then put it back. After a few hours I decided I needed it and went back to get it, sadly it was gone.:o(

ReplyDeleteLove vintage cookbooks. I never had a 'junior' cookbook. Mom and Grandma would have me stirrin, breakin greenbeans..etc. When I was old enough I used and had fun collecting cookbook chapters from the gas station as a premium. Mom still has that cookbook and its still my fav.
