In October 2008, Cary and I met up with our friends in Las Vegas. Cary, Larry and Fred grew up together in Fillmore, California and have stayed in touch all of these years.

One evening, we went down to Fremont Street to enjoy the music and the light show. Fremont Street is the "old" downtown Las Vegas. If we ever go to Vegas again, I want to stay down there. It is like a regular downtown mall. You can easily go outside and walk around. It is more like real life than being on the strip. After being in Las Vegas for a day or so, I longed for real life.
In the evenings, they have live music on the mall, and a spectacular light show. Fred and Joanne are dancing to the live band.
Fred is dancing with this guy just to make him happy. That guy freaked me out. Cary was in the convenience store, and that man spotted me and wanted to dance. I said no, but he kept grabbing at me trying to make me dance with him. I was getting scared. Finally, Larry spotted what was going on and put his arm around me and said, no, she doesn't want to dance. Fred danced with him, and then security came and told the man that he had to go. They came out of nowhere, so I guess there are security cameras everywhere.
So, here is the light show. Enjoy!
The End.
Today is the sixth day of the A - Z Challenge, which is hosted by Arlee Bird's: Tossing It Out. Several of my blogging friends are participating, and this year there are over 1,200 participants. We post everyday, except for Sundays, and work our way through the alphabet. I am posting past photos that I have taken, and am linking them up to the posts where the photos originated from too. When you are all done here at Oregon Gifts, please click here to visit other bloggers who have accepted this challenge.
I love the light show, wouldn't have wanted to meet that guy though!

I enjoy the change of pace on Fremont street compared to the strip. I also appreciate that the light show changes so every time I go it's a new experience.
ReplyDeleteHi Grace, the whole experience was so cool, except for that guy, he worried me.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Deirdra!
Spenc ... me too. The strip wears me out. Too much walking, for one thing. If we go again, I want to stay at the Golden Nugget and go down that awesome waterslide. Thanks so much for stopping by to say hi!
