SkyWatch Friday and Shadow Shot Sunday #156 : A Two For One Special

Hi!  I was going to make this my SkyWatch Friday post, but Blogger was still down when I got up this morning, and I had a very busy day.  By the time I was able to work on this, that linky party was  already closed.  So, I'm turned it into a Shadow Shot Sunday post instead, because of the awesome shadows on the bottom three pictures.  I took them through the open sunroof on my car as I was waiting for the light to change.

Update:  Well, wait!  It turns out that SkyWatch Friday was very much effected by "Blogger's Nap", and now they are open for business.  I must have been looking at last week's instead.  So, I'm going to combine the two meme/linky parties, just for today.

Oh, Tracy over at Hey Harriet, our hostess of Shadow Shot Sunday, has announced an awesome contest ... please click here to find out the details:  Female Photographers of Esty's May Giveaway.

  1. I had this on here for a few minutes last night, and Lynn O. left me a nice comment. Thank you, Lynn! I had to redo this and couldn't figure out how to copy and past your comment, and am sorry to have lost it, but I did read it. Sounds like an interesting painting. I love patterns and lines, and telephone poles and wires have lots of those.

  5. If you can't keep those darn electric wires out of the picture, you might as well shoot 'em up good--which you did!

    WONDERFUL NONSENSE

    A shadow’s a wonderful thing;
    O listen! Can you hear it sing?
    It tells of a time
    Before there was crime—
    Trust that and you’ll trust anything!

  7. Kathy, I love these telephone wire photos! I think it's cos it's so neat and I'm always such a mess! I've enjoyed your Shadow posts and I want to do one today if I get around to it because I got some great shots last week. But I just came back online after 3 days away from the Internet (yay I made it!) and hundreds of posts in my reader. I got a bit confused at seeing lots of doubles but ahh, realized I'd missed the big Blogger messup.

  9. Thank you, everybody! I'm glad that you liked them; I really liked the shadow shots. I still can't find my lens cap in the car, I was in such a hurry to get those shots before the light changed and it flew off to a hiding spot.

    I'll be by to visit in a few minutes.
