Vintage 1967 Shasta Travel Trailer:

Oregon Gifts of Comfort and Joy ~ Kathy Matthews

Last year, we were fortunate to purchase this darling little trailer from the original owners.  It isn't for sale.  We've had people leave notes on our door wanting to buy it, but sorry, we are keeping it.  We have just gotten a 1967 Chevy pickup truck, and eventually we will give everything matching paint jobs.  I plan on using this little trailer as my crafts store eventually.

It came with the operating manuals for the appliances and, with this owners manual.  Please email me if you would be interested in a scanned copy of instructions for the stove, fridge, or bathroom.  I just thought that this manual was so interesting:

  1. That is so cool. I love vintage vehicles and trailers but don't have any. I'll be watching when you all work on fixing it up.

  2. How cute and if push comes to shove, you have a spare house or at least a guest house.
Hope you plan to do some camping in it. You will get lots of admirers where ever you go. I had a VW bug restored and it was such fun.

  3. I love your trailer and what you plan to use it for. I shared it with my crafty daughter to give her an idea!

  4. Hi Donnie, I love them too, but this is our first attempt. I think it will be a fun project, and that when it is painted it will be really neat. I'm sure it won't be until next year sometime though. It is going to start snowing pretty soon.

Hi Patti, yes, we sure can use it for a guest house, but we'll probably use the bigger/newer one for that. I think that it would be really fun to join up with the other peeps in the Shasta Club and go camping in it sometime. The water pipes are metal and rusty and need some cleaning out ... otherwise everything is supposed to work fine.

Lynn, thanks! Hey, we might begin a trend here ... Vintage Trailer craft booths?

  5. HI! I just got a 1970 Shasta and we are rebuilding it from the ground up! Looking forward to all the things I'll learn and all the choices I get to make on my 'Annie O', as I've named her. I used to be a professional shooter for Smith & Wesson, so I love Annie Oakley and her legacy. Hope to get an update!
