Living Room/Dining Room Remix:

Oregon Gifts of Comfort and Joy ~ Kathy Matthews

Hi!  Sorry that I have been gone for a few days.  On Thursday, the Stanley Steemer Carpet Cleaner guys came over to clean our carpets.  I spent the first part of the week getting everything moved out of the way so that they could work without tons of clutter.  I decided to rearrange our great room when it came time to put things away.  I cannot believe what a difference it has made!  The rooms seem huge, especially the living room.

This table is now situated to the right
as you walk into the living room.

I created a little sitting area for reading or hand-sewing.

This kids' table was underneath the lip of the kitchen island.

Now there is shelving with cookbooks, jars of spaghetti sauce, and dry goods in canning jars in the spot where the table used to be.  There is even room for a rug now, and it really gives us so much more room, as the dining room is widened outward.

Thank you to Nicholas and Erik for their professional job of cleaning the carpets and the couch and love seat.  They were all really dirty, more than we had realized.  They were so nice, and even helped me move the couches and t.v. into the new spots.  You guys are great!  If you live around here, I highly recommend them.

Take care, and thank you so much for your visit!

This is a Metamorphosis Monday post.  M.M. is hosted by Susan from over at Between Naps on the Porch.  When you are all done here, please check out the creative work of others over there!

P.S. -  The t.v. stand is the bottom of our hutch.  I took the top part of the hutch and placed it on the dresser in our master bath.  Non-traditional, but very pretty!

Mama Z. ... I about killed myself off this time; plus got a swirly migraine when those guys were here cleaning. But we sure are happy with how everything turned out. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. Everything looks so good and I know you're enjoying clean carpets. I really like that table set up, your shelves in the kitchen, and that grandkids frame.
