Last night, Cary and I drove into Bend to have dinner with my BFF Nancy and her son Nigel. They were in town for the weekend, and we ate at the lounge in the hotel where they were staying. The service was great, but the food really wasn't. The company was awesome though!

Yesterday was also Cary's birthday.
Happy Birthday, best friend husband!

Nancy and Nigel just got a beautiful new German Shepard puppy. Her name is Athena. She had to stay in the car when we were in the restaurant. The hotel was pet friendly, but you can't leave the pets unattended. Especially active little puppies.
Athena is absolutely gorgeous:

We had such a fun time. After we got home, Nancy called me and we visited for another two hours on the phone. We have been friends for nearly 30 years. Wow!
That's a lovely puppy, but what big ears she's got! I hope she wasn't too unhappy in the car alone.
ReplyDeleteOld friends are awesome. You and Nancy have me and my pal Linda beat by 8 yrs. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable puppy! I love old friends. I've known one of my best friends since the first day of kindergarten, 37 years ago.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Cary. Hay, who needs great food when you have great company.
ReplyDeleteThat puppy is adorable. I love the radar ears on a young shephard.
Old friends are great, aren't they? So happy for you and your friend. Cute pup too!
