Middle of the Week Blessings:

Malia and Ira

It is so fun when the little girl you cleaned houses with ten years ago grows up to be the best mommy to the sweetest and cutest little baby boy ever.  I'm just sayin'.  I had so much fun last night visiting with old friends and eating the best food.  What a blessing in the middle of the week!

Now I need to do some laundry and pack; getting ready to go see my own baby boy graduate (with honors, and he's giving the speech!).  Time flies so fast, not long ago this was him:

I love you too, Nigel, and two thumbs up to you!

Here are some things to look forward to when I get back:
  •  A review of The Hotel Elliott in Astoria, Oregon
  •  Nigel's Graduation Photos
  •  A report about The Job Corps
  •  Astoria Photos
  •  and ... the April 2012 Blogging from A-Z Challenge, it isn't too late to sign up!  Just click on the button below:

Hope you all have a great weekend ...

  1. Oh my, is Malia just not the prettiest Mommy and Ira the most precious boy??? And please pass on to Malia that I love her nail polish color!!!!!!! Please ask her what it is and let me know. That is one GREAT color. She probably got lots of compliments on it. (Figures I'd notice something like that, right Kathy??!! LOL!)

  2. AND, of course, I must leave a comment on Nigel's Graduation!! Congrats to him, and I am SO looking forward to your trip pics. Don't forget to take some of FOOD!!!!!!! ;)
And please give my congrats to Nigel on his graduation, PLUS being the valedictorian. It sure is a great honor to be asked to give the graduation speech. You must be SO proud. But I know you are proud of him (and all of your kids, step-kids and grandchildren) with whatever he does. You are a great Mom. You know, you should print out that photo of him with the cake and put it in a card for him... he'd get a kick out of it! Have a wonderful time. Godspeed.
    Best,
