Remembering Summer:

Though we had a few nice days here this week, we have also had a bit of snow.  Just our typical beginning of spring in Central Oregon.  It did give me hope that summer will be here soon, though, and reminded me of these pretty pictures that I took outside of Crescent the summer before last.  It gives me hope, reminding me that it nice days will return.  So, what is the weather like where you are?

Enjoy your week, my friends!

Thinking of summer got me remembering summer songs, and here is a blast from the past by Bobby Hyland.  When I was in grade school, my best friend Teresa's mom. Mary Lou, always listened to the top 40 songs, and I really liked this one.  Keep in mind, this was written when long distance was expensive and we had never EVER dreamed of cell phones or unlimited texting.  Letters were super important, back in the day.

  4. It's warm, warm, warm and humid. Already! I'm wishing we were still in winter and hoping that we will have some spring before the hot/humid summer is upon us.

  5. That second photo is gorgeous, Kathy, and I loved that song, too. I remember writing S.W.A.K. on the back of many envelopes when I was a teen.
