Welcome to Oregon Gifts of Comfort and Joy!

We woke up to about an inch of snow this morning, but the sky is blue and it is really pretty outside.  Cary and I will be going into Bend for a bit this afternoon, to attend the Bend Spring Festival, which is being held this weekend in The Northwest Crossing neighborhood.  To read their event magazine and learn more, please "CLICK HERE".  I'll take lots of pictures, as usual, so stay tuned.

I am rather worried about the big storms that many of you guys will be hit with today, and am praying for you all to be safe!

This morning I only posted two posts (not including this one).  The first one is featuring the letter "M" for the A-Z Challenge. The second one is a re-post of a tablescape that I did a couple of years ago.  They are both right below this one.

Do you ever think that things just never seem to change, that an old issue keeps cycling around, causing hurt and pain?  I do, and it makes me sad.  Everybody matters, and it hurts to get dumped on. Last night, I remembered a helpful prayer and posted this on Facebook.  Perhaps it is something that will interest you:

Life is not fair, but God is good.

I am praying hard with a prayer that really does work,
given to me by a friend:

"Lord, please bind deception, lies and manipulation, and reveal the truth for all eyes to see. Amen."

After I posted that, I noticed that another friend had posted this, which is much more metaphysical than the prayer, but the message seemed appropriate to the situation:

"What has thrived on drama and trauma and even untruth is no longer compatible with the messenger energies that came in on the April full moon that are balancing your higher guidance senses.  Ultimately, you must release behaviors or requirements from another that you perform in order to be accepted.  Take action and gain power today by only doing and being what serves YOU."  ~ Reverend Angela Peregoff

Oh, heck, I guess that while I am at it, I might as well throw in some 12-Step:

The Serenity Prayer

"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

So, that is that.  I hope that you guys all have a wonderful day.  Stay safe!

I sincerely appreciate your comments! If you don't see your comment posted immediately, don't worry. I have comment moderation on here to help filter out spam. It will become visible as soon as I read it, and I do that several times daily. It just seems easier than using the word verification option. I am so sorry, but I am not accepting anonymous comments at this time. You can email me at: oregongiftsofcomfortandjoy@hotmail.com and I will happily add your comment to this post. Thank you so much! ~ Kathy M.
