A - Z Challenge: "D" is for Duck

During the month of April, I am participating in the Blogging From A to Z April 2012 Challenge, where we post everyday except for Sundays. I have decided to make flashcards for the letter of the day out of my photos, and then use the picture as a writing prompt.  I used my Thesaurus to find a bunch of words beginning with the letter "D" to use in my story.

"Dreaming His Life Away"

Dave Duck of Drain awoke dazed and dizzy.  Dave had been having a dandy dream about daredevil dancing with his dame, Darling Debbie.

Dave decided to deal with his deluding dream, and descended down the darkened shadowed path of Drake's Landing.  He dove into the deep water with great delight, and deliberately improved his debilitating mood.

Dave and his wife Darlene were expecting ducklings in December, and he really needed to become more dependable.  No more dreaming your life away, Dave Duck, and dang it, ditch that Darling Debbie!

    That's so cute!!! I love it! Reminds me of the "Peter Percival Patterson's Pet Pig Porky" on one of the Monkee's albums.

    I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE "The Oregon Alphabet Book"! Thanks so much for sharing it! I live in Phoenix, but my husband and I try to visit Oregon as often as we can. Such a beautiful place to live!
