Casey Comes to Work and "The Three Little Pigs"

Last week, our grandsons Casey and Garrett came to visit us.  Casey (from Eugene) came to work with me at the pre-school, and Garrett (from Washington) went to work with Cary at La Pine Redi-Mix.  They were both great workers, and it was fun to spend so much time with them.

Last Friday, the big kids put on a play of The Three Little Pigs for us.  They worked hard on the props and practicing, and the event was a lot of fun.

The Three Little Pigs:

The Big Bad Wolf

The Three Little Pigs

Ms. Lauren, the director, producer and narrator.

The houses made of straw, sticks and bricks.

The Wolf says:  "Little Pig, Little Pig, let me come in!"   The Pig replies, "Not by the hair of my chinny, chin-chin!"

"Then I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house in!"

The brick house turned out to be more of a challenge than the other two houses were.

So, the Wolf climbs up onto the roof to go down the chimney, only to be met with a pot of boiling water.  That was the end of the wolf!  The pigs won.

"The Baby" was delighted by the whole play.  (He's not really a baby anymore, but he is the closest thing that we have.)

They did the play a second time so that Ms. Julie could watch it too.

A grand time was had by all:

After the play was over, we put our shoes on and went on a long walk:

It's not a bad gig.

Thanks for your help, Casey!  We all missed you this week.
