Just wanted to drop in and say hello.  I don't really have a lot to say, except that things are going well.  The kids and I made these cute lion masks last week.

A super large tropical storm is heading our way today.  For the most part it is going to hammer the west side of the mountains and will concentrate on Washington and northern Oregon.  I hope that everybody stays safe.  Fill up those bathtubs, guys, so that you can use the water to flush the toilet if you are on a well and you lose power.

    We got some heavy rain early this afternoon, about the time the football game was getting underway.and it's a little breezy, but nothing dramatic. Now the sun is shining as the Seahawks have played the second half in the sunshine.

    Kathy--Those lion masks are adorable! I too want to know how you made the mane.

    I read your comment on Lisa Ricard Claro's blog, and wanted to know if you read Jodi Picoult. Her books do do not disappoint--in my opinion. Lots of research go into them. "Handle with Care" is one of my favorite ones, and I just finished her "The Storyteller" which is about a holocaust survivor.

    Just in case you haven't read her stuff, you might find you enjoy her...

    Hi Everybody ... we really were not effected by that storm here in Central Oregon.

    The lion manes are just yarn. It came as a straight strand of brown entwined with a knobby tan. It was perfect for the main.

    Sioux, I have read a few of her books, and she does do a lot of research. Sometimes I think that she tries to put in too many themes at once though. The one that I read that I remember well was the guy on death row.

    The lions made me smile. You are so creative. We're getting rain today and is it ever raining. I love sleeping on a rainy Sunday afternoon.
