The Beautiful Young Ladies:

Darlene and the baby deer.  Frances said that the game warden came and got the deer and took it to a wildlife refuge, because it could hurt one of the kids on accident if it jumped up and pawed them during play.

Frances posing on the steps with Larry.  She told me to always stand sideways like the models do; it makes you look thinner for the camera.  Oh, and to look a little bit above the camera for best results.  I will need to take that advice to heart!

Darlene is one of those people who is really good about taking pictures and putting them into albums.  We were going through the one when they all lived in Sayler, California on the Trinity River in the 1950's.  Frances said that her kids would sure like to see the pictures, because theirs of that time were lost.  I was already going to give Frances copies of the pictures I took while she was here on vacation and then decided that it would be even nicer to scan all the photos in the album and send her home with her own copies.  So, that is what I have been working on the past couple of days.  The slide shows above reflect my work. Now I just need to buy more colored ink today so that I can finish it up that project.  I am always surprised at how much colored ink is used in black and white photos!
