Welcome to the online diary of a Central Oregon Grandmother (me) who is busy celebrating the positive portions of her everyday life ... along with her best friend husband (Cary). It is quite an eclectic diary and I try to do my best to incorporate a little bit of history into many of my posts. Your visit to our piece of American Pie is greatly appreciated. This chatty Kathy posts frequently, so coming back to visit often is highly encouraged.

Hi. I know that I haven't been on here much lately. You guys are so nice to keep checking in, and I appreciate it. We have a lot going on, and it has to do with our Grandma getting ready to leave this world and go on to her next adventure. People have lots of ideas what lies ahead in the afterlife, and that is fine with me, I just choose to believe in heaven. I like the idea of spending time with God with my old friends, family members, dogs and cats. A place where it is very pretty, lots of flowers and no wind. And where I go back to weighing 135 lbs. I am rather easy to please.
We have been having lots of company lately, grandchildren popping in for a few days to say goodbye while Grandma is still feeling relatively okay. We can tell that the time is getting closer though.
So, though I have been posting a few pictures, I haven't but a lot of energy into writing. That is just the way it goes sometimes, I guess. If all goes well today, Frances and I will be going to the High Desert Museum, and I will take lots of pictures and post them on here. It is a wonderful place that is only 15 minutes from home. I usually try to go once a year, but it has even been longer than that this time.
Hi Kathy - So sorry your Grandma is unwell. Even expecting to lose someone doesn't make it an easy process. Your Grandma is in good hands if she is in yours, and surrounded by love. God bless.
I sincerely appreciate your comments! If you don't see your comment posted immediately, don't worry. I have comment moderation on here to help filter out spam. It will become visible as soon as I read it, and I do that several times daily. It just seems easier than using the word verification option. I am so sorry, but I am not accepting anonymous comments at this time. You can email me at: oregongiftsofcomfortandjoy@hotmail.com and I will happily add your comment to this post. Thank you so much! ~ Kathy M.
