I could write a series on givers and takers. Those who mainly give (which I do write about when I can), and on those who mainly take (which I don't write about). Focusing on the positive is taking the higher route. I am trying my best to do my best, and to look for the best in each situation. That isn't very easy for me, because my mind goes straight to the problem and then I think about how it could be fixed, to make things fair.
Welcome to the online diary of a Central Oregon Grandmother (me) who is busy celebrating the positive portions of her everyday life ... along with her best friend husband (Cary). It is quite an eclectic diary and I try to do my best to incorporate a little bit of history into many of my posts. Your visit to our piece of American Pie is greatly appreciated. This chatty Kathy posts frequently, so coming back to visit often is highly encouraged.

I sincerely appreciate your comments! If you don't see your comment posted immediately, don't worry. I have comment moderation on here to help filter out spam. It will become visible as soon as I read it, and I do that several times daily. It just seems easier than using the word verification option. I am so sorry, but I am not accepting anonymous comments at this time. You can email me at: oregongiftsofcomfortandjoy@hotmail.com and I will happily add your comment to this post. Thank you so much! ~ Kathy M.
Wow! You've been busy and I missed a bunch! Let me try to catch up.
ReplyDelete1. Your blog is a positive, upbeat place which is one of the reasons I'm a regular!
2. Thanks for the tat info. My oldest daughter has a couple--*sigh**--but has never had a problem with hers. I'll relay the info, though.
3. Jason sounds like a very special kid. Not many children would spend the time he did. I love his vision of your Grandma's destination.
4. My brother lived in Eugene for twenty years; he recently moved to Tennessee. He loved it in Oregon, especially the access to mountains and coast. The rainy days never bothered him!
5. 50 years! And here I was feeling all proud of 30. Half a century. Now THAT is real commitment! Nice photos - you are lucky to have family so close.
Oh, Lisa, you are so positive and supportive and I really appreciate you. I love that about your blog too. Thanks for your input. I am very proud of you guys for being married 30 years! Wouldn't you have had to been married prior to being born to get to 50? Lol!
ReplyDeleteSometimes, I just post a whole bunch of things at once, they seem to turn out better because I am in the mood. :>)
I agree with Lisa! Your blog is always so full of beautiful photos and thoughts of yours! If you have your "negative" thoughts and moments in your life, you sure can't tell from this side of the computer!! :)
