I love it when I think of an idea, prepare for it, do it, and then actually succeed. It is even better if it involves creativity (which cooking always does) and it doesn't turn out to be very difficult after all. That sums up my canning experience so far. Yay for Kathy Matthews!
Welcome to the online diary of a Central Oregon Grandmother (me) who is busy celebrating the positive portions of her everyday life ... along with her best friend husband (Cary). It is quite an eclectic diary and I try to do my best to incorporate a little bit of history into many of my posts. Your visit to our piece of American Pie is greatly appreciated. This chatty Kathy posts frequently, so coming back to visit often is highly encouraged.

I sincerely appreciate your comments! If you don't see your comment posted immediately, don't worry. I have comment moderation on here to help filter out spam. It will become visible as soon as I read it, and I do that several times daily. It just seems easier than using the word verification option. I am so sorry, but I am not accepting anonymous comments at this time. You can email me at: oregongiftsofcomfortandjoy@hotmail.com and I will happily add your comment to this post. Thank you so much! ~ Kathy M.
What a cute pooch!
ReplyDeleteI've never thought of canning anything but fruit or vegetables before. What made you think of cornish hens?
Well, I was thinking about what it would be like to can leftovers. Like spaghetti, meatloaf, soups, etc. So I did some stew, and then when I saw these cornish game hens I thought, hey those will fit! The canning book told me exactly how to do it.
