A Touch of Green:

Oregon Gifts of Comfort and Joy ~ Kathy Matthews

I just took these pictures of those favorite little trees of mine in our front yard.  They are blooming now, and will smell so good in a few days when the rain stops and the sun warms them up.  I can hardly wait!  These trees are the only thing that we have around our property that reminds me of living in the valley.  Most of the trees around here are pine trees ... Jack Pine, Ponderosa Pine and a few other varieties native to the high desert.

Take a look at that green grass and the pretty bark.  Cary works hard and takes pride in keeping our front lawn looking so pretty.  Thanks, honey!  This tree used to be as big as the other three, but it broke off a couple of years back due to snow and wind.

It is supposed to rain the rest of the week around here.  Oh, well. You know the old saying, June showers brings July flowers.  Hey, wait a minute, wasn't that really supposed to be April showers bring May flowers?  Not this year!

It will become visible as soon as I read it, and I do that several times daily. It just seems easier than using the word verification option. I am so sorry, but I am not accepting anonymous comments at this time. You can email me at: oregongiftsofcomfortandjoy@hotmail.com and I will happily add your comment to this post.
