I thought that you guys might enjoy these watery photos of Clear Lake, which is the headwater of the mighty McKenzie River. The first link here describes our visit there awhile back: Mixing Business With Pleasure. It is before I updated my blog, so the photos are smaller. You can click on them to enlarge for better viewing though. This second link is to another post I wrote about Clear Lake in one of my other blogs, The McKenzie River Valley of Oregon.

Clear Lake really is clear. No gas motors are allowed on the lake. When you take one of these boats out into the middle and look down, there is a petrified forest underneath. I haven't done that since I was little, but I sure would like to this summer. Just imagine those pictures!
For some other beautiful watery photography,
Thanks for your visit!
Kathy, thanks so much for the link love! And now I think I'll take a bath...all these watery Wednesday pics have me itching to get into water!
ReplyDeleteHi Cathy,
ReplyDeleteYou are so welcome. Have a wonderful soak!

Beautiful country up there! Makes me yearn for summertime here so we can get back out on the lake. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful lake. Love the photo with the dock and the long line of boats. Makes me want to take one of them and go paddling around!
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa,
ReplyDeleteI know I talk it up all the time, but my favorite part of all beautiful Oregon is the McKenzie River Valley. Make your travel plans soon and we'll show you around. Just don't take the train.
Hello Ms. Dewberry,
Thanks for stopping by to say hi! I am happy that you enjoyed the photos.

WATER
ReplyDeleteWater in a drop of rain,
Water swirling down the drain;
Water clinging to the trees,
Water filling up the seas;
Water frozen, water free,
Water is the stuff for me!
