Shadow Shot Sunday #166: Zoo Shadows

Welcome to Shadow Shot Sunday!  A couple of weeks ago, when Cary and I were visiting Portland, we went to the Oregon Zoo.  Currently, there is a slide show at the top of the page with all of the photos that I took there, and I have made a previous post about our visit, and the link to it is here: The Oregon (Portland) Zoo!

Today, though, I pulled out some interesting shadow photos for you to see.  It was a bright and sunny morning the day we went, and that made for a wide variety of possibilities!

  1. I do love your shadow shots for the day, Kathy! Such a wonderful variety! The zoo in Portland was always one of my favorite places! Hope your weekend is off to a great start! It's beautiful here in Seattle, hope you have the same weather there! I know our temps are a lot better than they are in other parts of the country!!

  6. Stupendous. It's hard to pick a 'favorite' out of all these...they're that good. But if I HAD to, I think I'd pick the kayak in shadow.

    STILT WALKER?

    Have a happy Sunday.

  7. Wonderful variety of shadow shots but loved the detail with the fence and the unusual look at the canoe. Great job.

  9. You've given us a shadow tour de force!

    I’M YOUR SHADOW

    Hello, there, I’m your shadow,
    I tag after you;
    Whatever you are doing,
    That is what I do.

If you should fling a football
    Forty yards or more,
    I’ll be right beside you,
    Evening the score.

If you should flick a booger
    From your stuffy nose,
I will surely do the same—
    Watch how far it goes!

    So, friend, be very careful
    What you say and do—
    Whatever you are doing,
    I’ll do just as you!

  12. Thank you, everybody, I'm so glad that you enjoyed these too. There is something special about them, but then, so was the whole vibe of the zoo.
