August Moon 2011:

Saturday night, the moon and the sky were beautiful.  I wasn't able to figure out how to capture them well on camera, but these still made for some interesting photos:

This last one is probably the best of the bunch.  It isn't zoomed in and is clear:

If you guys have any pretty moon pictures from over the weekend, please leave me a comment and I'll head on over to take a look!  I hope that everybody has a wonderful week.

  1. Night sky pictures are notoriously tricky to capture. These have an ethereal quality to them.

  2. Little Nell, they sure are! I have some that came out great last winter, but couldn't pull it off that night. I used a bunch of different settings too. Some would have been better if I hadn't over zoomed and lost the clear quality. I need to keep in mind that I can crop it later and that will make things bigger. Thanks so much for stopping by!

I sincerely appreciate your comments! If you don't see your comment posted immediately, don't worry. I have comment moderation on here to help filter out spam. It will become visible as soon as I read it, and I do that several times daily. It just seems easier than using the word verification option. I am so sorry, but I am not accepting anonymous comments at this time. You can email me at: oregongiftsofcomfortandjoy@hotmail.com and I will happily add your comment to this post.
