Sewing Causes Writer's Block?

I can write, kind of, and I can sew.  When I am in the writing mood, it is a struggle for me to change gears and begin to sew.  Once I am back into sewing, it is fun and I like to produce many projects in the same time frame.  Over the years, I have found that I had better do it that way, while I am still in the mood.  This year, I am plan to launch the business parts of Oregon Gifts of Comfort and Joy.  My plan is to vend at a couple of holiday bazaars this season.  In that way, I can let people know about my handcrafted products as I get my little "store" trailer ready to go.  I'll be open by appointment after that, if all goes well.  If you want more history on this ongoing plan, you may enjoy this post:  "My Store ... The Beginning".

HOWEVER, when I am into sewing, it seems as if I cannot write.  Or, at least do creative writing.  I don't know if this is a left brain/right brain type of thing or what.  Today is Book Blurb Friday, and I cannot for the life of me think of a story to go with my friend  Kay's picture of the guy flying the plane.   If you would like to visit Lisa over at BBF, please "CLICK HERE" to see what my writing friends have done with their book blurb stories.

So, instead, I'll show you what I have been working on this week, besides all those cards in the post below.  I have been making pillows and hearts.  And, I gave Cary a massage (that is story behind the massage table in the picture below).

  3. I can see how sewing could create writers block. It is kind of hard to shift gears when you are really getting into one or the other. You have some nice things!

  4. Donnie, thank you! I'm so glad that you are back and visiting me; I've missed you. I think that the little "store" will be cool when I get it all done. For now it is a place to store my finished products.

Kim, well, thank you too! Blogging is a lot easier, and I still manage to do that; but the creative writing needs a different kind of inspiration.

    Lynn, exactly! Thank you.
