  3. Beautiful...reminds me of a Robert Frost poem "The Woods are lovely, dark and deep......"

    PS...I can smell the fresh pine fragrance as I re-view the photos you've shared.

  4. oh my, your photos take me back. I hiked an old growth area with my sister, many years ago now, and I cannot recall the name of the place, but it was gorgeous. there was an old camp with cabins and I believe some people were living there - stewards of sorts. she lives in the Mill City area and it wasn't that long of a drive to get there... at any rate, your photos are wonderful. thanks for the hike! happy weekend to you Kathy.

  7. Wonderful, wonderful shadow shots, Kathy, from the strong, definitive shadow of the railing to the more subtle shadows around a bright glen of sunlight.

  9. Looks like a beautiful hike.
    Loved the video looking at the grapes. So pretty.
    My brother has several vines and his family make wine each year. The grandkids love getting in and smashing with their feet. lol

  10. I would find a walk through those shadowy woods to be most inspiring and refreshing!

    MY SHADOWY FRIEND

    My shadow and I are very best friends;
    We walk hand in hand, though the sidewalk ends.

    No matter the time of day or of night,
    My shadow and I will always stick tight.

    We don’t even think of drifting apart,
    For shadow and I are one soul and one heart.

    To have such a friend is heaven, you see,
    For I love my shadow, and shadow loves me.
