If you have a Smart Phone and post pictures to the internet from it ... BEWARE

Well, if this isn't some scary news from my friend Barb K.  (Thanks, Barb!)  After watching this short video, you might want to change the settings on your Smart Phone, if you take pictures on it and upload them to share them with friends and family on the internet.

I still have a dumb phone and don't know how to get the pictures off of it if I do take one.  (Call me a slow learner, but now I'm glad.)  I use a regular camera for my blog and FB, so if I have taken your picture, your location has not been disclosed somehow through me.  I'm just sayin'.

Just thought that you might want to know about this.

Have a great weekend,

Kathy M.

  1. I still have dumb phones on their way to becoming obsolete. But it is a bit scary to realize just how much we reveal about ourselves to unknown numbers and kinds of people without realizing it. Guess I will continue to put off getting any smarter technology for now.

  2. I don't have a smartphone, Kathy. I have what I call a baby phone that does texting and calling, and it's prepaid. Too much information out there does no good also. ^_^ Blogging and facebooking is enough for me lol! Happy Monday!

I sincerely appreciate your comments! If you don't see your comment posted immediately, don't worry. I have comment moderation on here to help filter out spam. It will become visible as soon as I read it, and I do that several times daily. It just seems easier than using the word verification option. I am so sorry, but I am not accepting anonymous comments at this time. You can email me at: oregongiftsofcomfortandjoy@hotmail.com and I will happily add your comment to this post. Thank you so much! ~ Kathy M.
