A Tree Grows in Brooklyn: The Movie in Full

One of my favorite books of all time is A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith.  I was in junior high the first time that I read it, and have re-read it several times over the years.  I think it is time to read it again! 

The story is about a young girl, Francie, and her family.  They were living the life of the broke.  Many things happen to Francie throughout the book, but she keeps her head up and comes out a winner. 

A couple of weeks ago, I was looking up something on You Tube and stumbled across the full movie of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.  It is in twelve parts, and I have assembled the links below in order, if you would like to watch it.  The movie is just like the book, something that I always appreciate.  Enjoy!

    I've never read the book and I haven't seen the movie since I was a kid. I think it's on TMC every once in a while--maybe I'll watch it there one day.

    You know, I don't think I've ever read this book. It sounds like a good one, and I'll have to add it to the list. I usually like to read the book before seeing the movie--what about you?
