Newest Room Redo's:

The day before things things fell apart around here, my biggest worry was the disarray of our home due to roof and ceiling repairs.  I wrote a post about that with some photos, which may be seen here:  "It Sounds Like Life To Me".

Well, the ceiling is fixed and we have been working hard around here putting things back into place.  Here are the "after" photos of the dining room:

I decided to put the oval rug back into the dining room instead of in the living room, and I am so glad that I did.  It adds so much color and blends in with all of the other reds.

On a roll and because it was months past due, yesterday we redid our home office.  I needed to create a space for Cary to work in here too ... now we just need a laptop.  We moved the desk from our bedroom and exchanged it with my sewing table.  I'll be working on that area today.

I swear, I think my camera is wearing out!  Here are the "before" photos of the office:

And, here is how it looks now:

Doesn't this look like a great spot for a new laptop?

The divider hides tubs of photos and old letters.

Now it is a functional space that makes room for two.  All my research and writing stuff is all together all in one spot, and I am happy!  Cary is amazed at how much I stuffed back into the room, and keeps telling me how nice things look.  As you know, whether on here or at home, I work for praise and appreciation.  It feels good to get things accomplished and make them better than before.

I'm off to do some more stuff around the house, and then will settle back down to blog visiting, beginning with those who have left me their sweet comments over the past week.  Thank you so much, by the way.

God bless,

Kathy M.

Okay ... I'm now done with our room, where the sewing station is set up.  Please "CLICK HERE" to take a look about how it turned out.  Thanks!
