Winter is Still Here on the High Desert:

Oregon Gifts of Comfort and Joy ~ Kathy Matthews

We still have snowy winter weather.  The wind has been blowing and the skies are gray and yucky for the most part.  The other day, though, it was very pretty.  I took these pictures from the window of the car as we were driving to Bend.

The Deschutes County Courthouse:

We were on our way to a sentencing for a friend, and Cary spoke as a character witness for him.  That was very interesting, without going into any details.  All's well that ends well.

Cary is one that you want to have on your side when the chips are down.  Glad that he's by my side on an everyday basis!

It looks like the Department of Veterans Affairs has been going strong in one form or another ever since the beginning of our country.  Amen to the words on the plaque above.  Treat our Veterans right!

  1. Hard to imagine snow. Today was mid eighties and I broke a sweat planting some roses.
Good to know Gary's testimony helped.

  2. Snow still makes the world a "lovely" place. I missed it this year--it just didn't snow ! Hope your weekend is great. Mickie :)

  4. I wish we'd had a little more winter. It's supposed to be 90 where I live tomorrow! At least it's only a little humid, not a lot humid, so far. Beautiful photos, and glad it turned out as well as could be hoped for for your friend.
