During the month of April, I am participating in the Blogging From A-Z April 2012 Challenge, where we post everyday except for Sundays. I have decided to make flashcards for the letter of the day out of my photos, and then use the picture as a writing prompt. I am using my Thesaurus to make a story
out of words beginning with the letter "N", and to have it make sense.
I have no idea of the twists and turns that it will take and usually
crack myself up when I am all through. Hope these little ditties make
you laugh too. The whole list of my A-Z posts are all listed on the top
of the left-hand sidebar.
Thank you for your visit, and please come back again tomorrow! I'll be by to visit those who leave me comments, and also visit as many others as I can. If you like what you see, please feel free to become my newest follower. ~ Kathy M.

"Nigel and Nattie Reunite"
by Kathy Matthews
It was November. Nigel wasn't nearsighted, but felt he had neglected his Ninja Turtle collection nearly long enough. The Ninja's were always nearby, but it was now necessary to neatly display them nicely. It was nightfall, and Natti was on his way.
In the old neighborhood, there was a noisy neighbor boy nuisance named Nattie. Nattie was nervy, and nearly gave Nigel a nervous-breakdown at the age of three. Natti would nonchalantly pull the heads off at the neck of Nigel's brand-new Ninja Turtles. Nigel's mom tried to stay neutral, but nevertheless it was sometimes impossible to be nice to that kid. She often felt like nogging him with wet noodles. Nattie was a number one novelty, notwithstanding.
Nattie nicknamed Nigel "Nighti", which made him cry. (Nigel notably said, "Mommy! Nattie called me pajamas!") But that was back when he was a novice; now he was numb to nonreversible nonsense.
After all of these numerous years, Nattie and Nigel were still nothing alike, but were reuniting and going nightclubbing in Newburg.
The End.
This one was based on a true story, though the name has been changed to protect the guilty. Here is the link to my first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle post, just "CLICK HERE".
Following the theme of the of the alphabet, I am also
featuring this out-of-print book created by a couple of Oregon ladies in
1983. Please come back tomorrow to see the next page in the series:

Hi Kathy, I've found you on A-Z by accident. I should have popped in sooner. Neat story line for 'N'.
ReplyDeleteYou continue to entertain me with the alliteration. I'm loving it.
ReplyDeleteWow, you have quite the collection of Ninja's...a very unique N word :)
ReplyDeleteHi Bob! I need to get back over to visit you too on your castles. You are working so hard on your A-Z and your topic is fascinating. I never miss your Sepia Saturday posts though!
ReplyDeleteLisa, thank you! It is really good writing practice and so much fun. I'm happy that you are enjoying it.
Tracy, hi and thanks for your visit. I just saved Nigel's from when he was little and buy them at St. Vincent's when I find old ones. Thank you so much for your visit, I'll be by to see you soon.
I still have my son's Ninja Turtle collection hiding in a box upstairs, just waiting for the grandbabies to get a little older........
ReplyDeleteI just realized I'm behind on these stories. They are so cute and so much fun to read. I'm wondering what you'll do NEXT year.
