Souvenir Folder of Texas "The Lone Star State"

These must be more from Uncle John's collection.  When I looked them up online, they seem to have been printed in the 1940's, and the bus in one of the pictures looks to be of that era.  If you enjoy this set, you will probably also like the ones in this link too: Vintage San Antonio Postcards, c.1944.

    These postcards capture exactly what I think of when I think of Texas. I'd like to go to Texas one day and see a Blue Bonnet. That's such a cool name for a flower.

    I'm kind of new to Sepia Saturday, but really enjoy your posts. This one reminds me of my Mom's collection of post cards from the 30s and maybe before. I'm from Texas, and sent some to friends, or at least saw some, like these as well. I'll try to find out if I still have those post cards somewhere. But not today. (you know how that is, I imagine).

    Lovely colours again in these postcards. Now why does the chuck wagon picture remind me of ‘Blazing Saddles’?

    what a great collection of postcards.
    I remember going to the Alamo once and it's so tiny. It looks gigantic on the postcard.

    9 feet 6 inches across the horns of that Long Horn Street! I've never seen a crowd of these creatures but I doubt they have to worry about being squeezed together! Love the cards.
