Last night, Peggy and I ventured out to the driveway to take some pictures of the blue moon. What do they mean by that anyway? It certainly doesn't have to do with the color of the moon. A blue moon is when you get two full moons in one month, and that rarely happens. This time, the second full moon was on August 31, so it barely made it. The next one will occur in 2015.
It isn't as easy as you might think to get a good picture in the dark. I messed around with my camera settings, stuck some trees and bushes in between the camera and the moon ... and came up with these:
I took some pictures the night before also, and you can see them by either scrolling down a couple of posts, or by "CLICKING HERE".
Hope you are enjoying your holiday weekend! There is lots of football going on, and I think that we will drive to the lake to visit the Choates, and maybe take a boat ride.
