Lunch, Pool and Baseball:

Cary and I had a fun day yesterday.  First, we drove into Bend and got my car washed.  Then, we went to McMenamin's St. Francis School for lunch.   We prefer the little bar near the movie theater.

After choosing a table before the fireplace, I ordered a cheeseburger, fries and a pale ale.  Cary wasn't hungry, so he just had an iced tea.

As we were waiting for the food to arrive, I got up and took some pictures of light fixtures.  McMenamins always has the neatest ones.

The billiard table was being used by some ladies, so we left there and went to Corey's, which is located right down the street.

The MLB channel was on at Corey's and we were enjoying a "best of special" of baseball highlights.  I miss watching baseball so much, and I was thrilled to see my old friends on the screen, including Johnny Damon and Jamie Burke.

We began to play pool.  I always lose (Cary has been playing since he was twelve and old enough to hang out at the pool hall in Fillmore).  But, yesterday I was much better.  I didn't look at the white ball, I looked at the one that I wanted to hit.  That really did help, by-the-way.

There was only one pretty light fixture at Corey's:

But there were quite a few neon signs:

We really had a great time and enjoyed each other's company.  Dates are fun.  We are thinking of going on another one today.

  2. Those three photos of the glass . . . shades? Globes? Light fixtures? I don't know what to call them. LOL Those three (amber and red/orange) are way cool -- You could print and frame those and sell them as a set. Awesome photos.
