A raven flew over the Rustic River, and Rebecca's razor sharp retinas recognized a rhinoceros among the rapids. Redmond was certainly not a native region for rhinoceros! Rebecca regarded the animal with regret and rejection, as she refrained from panic.
Rebecca recruited her relative as a witness, red-hot and rich Rita, a refugee from Roseburg. Rita was also an animal researcher. Rita reasoned, "We need to get that thing onto a reserve, Rebecca."
The two called the authorities, who promptly responded to the rhino-in-the-river call. Sheriffs pulled up in a Rolls Royce and a Range Rover pulling a trailer. The rhino was treated with respect as it retreated on rigorous legs; roaring in protest. The capture was risky but successful, and soon the rhinoceros was placed into a railroad car without rioting and rolled away toward the reserve.
The End.
I actually took the picture above and others at La Pine State Park. If you would like to read the post about The Donald G. McGregor Memorial Viewpoint, please "CLICK HERE".
