Soda Creek: Restoration Results After The 1966 Flood

Unless you knew (and I did not, until I read these plaques), you would never guess that this stream had been reconstructed by people and computer programs in 1996, after a devastating flood in 1966 ruined the original Soda Creek.  On October 7, 1966, a glacier from one of the unnamed lakes on Broken Top melted into the lake, creating the tidal wave that flooded Soda Creek in a severe way.

Thanks, Lisa. Maybe they will if they are ever able to hire anybody again. It is so pretty and varied here; I feel very blessed to live here, that is for sure.
