Oregon Gifts of Comfort and Joy ~ Kathy Matthews |
First time in print!
"Prairie Love" is the autobiography of Tommy and Katie Reynolds; the story of young love that led to a lifetime of blessing others. The Reynolds early years inspired Trisha Yearwood's "She's In Love With the Boy" in 1991.
Now a major motion picture, "Prairie Love" tells of how Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds of Missouri eventually adopted twenty special needs children, raising them alongside their own three. This heartwarming tale of responding to a higher calling leaves readers wondering if they themselves can do more to help others. Full of inspiration, faith, struggle and love, you will not go away from this book untouched. A must read!
Thank you to Christina Claro for this week's very beautiful photo, and a shout out of congratulations to her exciting future in the arts. You rock, Christina!
I am participating in Lisa's Book Blurb Friday, from over at Writing in the Buff. It is fun, and you can play too! Pretend that the picture on the top of this post is the cover of a book. On the inside jacket, you have 150 words to entice the reader to buy your book. Lisa gives us a week to think about next week's entry (she's gracious like that). Please CLICK HERE on Friday to read what everybody else wrote. To see my other BBF stories, please locate them on the left-hand sidebar under the Book Blurb Friday button.

This sounds very real for sure. My favorite genre is bio, so the story would be right down my alley! Love the Title!
Thank you, Claudia! I'm getting awfully good at MSU lately (making stuff up) ... lots of practice with my A-Z stuff, lol.
Kathy--Your blurb was a unique take. I am always amazed that writers can all have the same photo, yet the directions they go is so different.
Also, I love Trisha Yearwood, but had never heard this song. Thanks for sharing it.
Ooooh, I love the acronym MSU. Perhaps the S could stand for something else besides "stuff," a word that rhymes with bit? I am a pro at MSU.
Thanks, Sioux! BTW ... my husband, who I learned this from, says he graduated from MSU, and he uses the version that rhymes with bit, lol.
