Cary has been busy getting things accomplished that he has wanted to get done, such as getting an air conditioner and switching over from cable to satellite t.v. (We kept cable for our internet though.)
I'll just leave you with a few pictures of my most recent "trash to treasure" projects.
Blocks:
I have been saving my wine boxes for a long time, just because they are good sturdy boxes, and are a good size for making blocks. I bought pretty contact paper and wrapped them up just like you would wrap a gift. I think that they turned out pretty nice, and they only cost me .42 each.
Magnetic Boards:
For years, I have been using old baking sheets for glitter and gluing projects for the kids. You place the paper inside and the trays catch the extra glitter so that you can save it for use at another time.
Last week, I found some magnetic letters up in our school attic, and realized that the cookie sheets would work great for those too. I spray-painted the sheets with two coats and a sealer, and then used paint pens for a decorative touch.
I'm still having fun with the kids, and we had a busy day yesterday. I wish that I was always nice and full of grace, but I'm not. It is coming together, but things are not always smooth. Maybe they never are. I'll just keep doing the best that I can, and I begin the day praying that it will be a good one filled with love and joy. Can't go wrong with that one, can I?
I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend, and I will be back soon with tons of pictures, I hope
Hugs,
Kathy M.

I hope you're feeling better and can enjoy your trip.
Those blocks and magnetic boards look fantastic. I know the kids will enjoy playing with them.
Your projects are very creative and will be enjoyed by the kids.
No, sweetie, you can't go wrong with that. You're such a doll. Those little ones are mighty lucky.
Enjoy your trip and hope you're feeling better soon. (Bet you're getting those colds from the kids :)!)
It sounds like you should be popping a bunch of vitamin C pills every day. Too many colds, girl! I hope you get to feeling better soon.
You sure are one clever lady. I love your projects.
I love these! Great ideas. And don't feel bad...little guys are just so exhausting. We can't always have patience--at least, I can't!
Hope you're feeling better soon...summer colds are no fun.
Some creative ideas Kathy! When do you break for the summer? Or don't you :( Enjoy your Washington visit.
What a great idea to use cookie sheets! Super smart!
