Hi Everybody,
Wow. It takes so much time sorting through all of those photos, and then time to find the exact ones that I want to put into posts. Thank you for your patience, I am sorry that I haven't gotten back on track yet. I'll be by to visit and return emails soon, thanks for leaving your comments.
We have a huge snow storm coming in today; and our roof isn't fixed yet. Up to 18" of snow is predicted, with high winds. AHHHH! Panic in the gray room now. Our house is still out of sorts waiting for repairs, and it is really bugging me. Oh, well, there isn't a lot that I can do about it right now.
I'm going to do some errands and then come home and prepare for the possible loss of electricity. At least if we lose power, I can put the freezer food in coolers on the back porch and hopefully they should be okay. I'm getting all my cast iron camping pots and pans cleaned up too, just in case we need to use the BBQ for a stove.
I hope that you are all doing well, and thanks so much for stopping by to see what's up.
Hugs,
Kathy M.
Welcome to the online diary of a Central Oregon Grandmother (me) who is busy celebrating the positive portions of her everyday life ... along with her best friend husband (Cary). It is quite an eclectic diary and I try to do my best to incorporate a little bit of history into many of my posts. Your visit to our piece of American Pie is greatly appreciated. This chatty Kathy posts frequently, so coming back to visit often is highly encouraged.
Hello, Friends! Thank you so much for stopping by. I really hope that you will enjoy your visit. Please remember that all my words and photographs are copyrighted, and may not be used without permission.

During the week of July 5-9, 2011, Cary and I were privileged to attend "The Opening", watching quarterback grandson Tyler Matthews (#43 the first day, and #15 on game days) play with 150 of the best high school football players in the United States. The event was held at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. I hope that you enjoy the pictures ... some are better photos than others, but I tried to capture as many kids as I could.
There are approximately 500 photos in these slide shows. They are of the players, the fans, our family and everybody/everything that caught my eye. They are in chronological order. No names are on the pictures, even if I do know who people were.
As time permits, I will also be writing blog posts about my experience as a spectator. Since I still have a lot to learn about football and this is not a sports blog, I'll write some human interest stories as seen through my eyes. That said, Tyler Matthews, YOU ROCK!!!!

Sure hope you keep power. Sounds like you are well prepared if not. Do you have solat lights outside? I use mine as indoor lighting when the power goes. Free power.
Stay warm.
We have the same prediction on snow for tomorrow in Washington state, guess we better hang onto our hats :) I have a wood stove so we never worry about all of that. When the electricity is lost we still have heat and one year when we lost power for a week I heated spagetti on the woodstove top. Funny but the boys had a lot of fun with it.
Well, we have our snow and from what I could see on the news you probably have yours too! Happy snow day! :)
Good luck in the storm! Hope it doesn't do too much damage around your house. You sound like you're getting ready for it, too.
