Downtown Seattle, Washington:

On June 18th, Cary and I drove to Seattle to watch a Mariner's game.  Here are some of the pictures that I took of the downtown area, most of them from a rainy car window.  Most of them certainly are not award winning, but I think that they give you an idea of the what Seattle's downtown looks like, if you haven't been there yet.  I hope that you enjoy them!

Damp, gloomy....but all in all a beautiful city. Did you cross the bridge that actually 'floats' across the water? I can't remember the name of the bridge...but it's scary.

Thanx for the tour...have never been to Seattle. I love the raindrops on the windshield!

Seattle seems a very interesting place, even in the rain. I like the bright splashes of color (as on the lamp posts and the aquatic ?billboard?). Perhaps, someday, I'll get a chance to visit there.

Thanks, everybody! Kim, the one with the brick building and the 2 following with "Big Ben" weren't drive by, but the rest were.

Wow these brought back some memories for me. I used to live about an hour and a half north of Seattle in a town called Sedro Woolley and used to visit the city frequently. Man, I miss Seattle.

Thank you for the memories, Kathy. I was in Seattle for the first (and so far, only) time a year ago, and it warmed my heart to see familiar places!

MOST WONDERFUL

The sky’s a most wonderful thing,
Enjoyed by both peasant and king;
No matter the eye
That see the bright sky
The proper response is to sing!
