Inside the Car Wash: The Darker Side

Last weekend, we drove through the car wash in Bend.  I have done this before, taking pictures as fast as I can on the advanced sports shooting, without a flash.  I wasn't disappointed with the results either time.  Here is the link to the first time:  Inside the Car Wash.

These are ones that turned out dark and interesting.  I will post ones with more color later on.  I don't know about you, but it seems to me that some of these have a bit of otherworldiness to them.  Others are kind of cool water photos.  Enjoy!

I just had to see what this was when I saw your post title on my blogroll. You do choose some interesting things to photograph, Kathy! Way to make even a mundane chore interesting.

When your post came up in my Reader, the only picture showing was the first one. I thought I was looking at a knife. I thought I was in for a story of murder at the car wash or something. These are indeed very artsy photos, the kind I usually see at craft and art shows.

Hey Kathy! I thought that first photo was of a knife, too! And that you were writing about a scary novel you'd read! LOL Gorgeous pictures, as always! You know I keep saying you should sell them somewhere!

The 2012 Army All-American Day Event

Photo Source: Nike "The Opening Brochure" Pages 2 and 3
During the week of July 5-9, 2011, Cary and I were privileged to attend "The Opening", watching quarterback grandson Tyler Matthews (#43 the first day, and #15 on game days) play with 150 of the best high school football players in the United States. The event was held at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. I hope that you enjoy the pictures ... some are better photos than others, but I tried to capture as many kids as I could.

There are approximately 500 photos in these slide shows. They are of the players, the fans, our family and everybody/everything that caught my eye. They are in chronological order. No names are on the pictures, even if I do know who people were.

As time permits, I will also be writing blog posts about my experience as a spectator. Since I still have a lot to learn about football and this is not a sports blog, I'll write some human interest stories as seen through my eyes. That said, Tyler Matthews, YOU ROCK!!!!
