Join Us in the 2013 A-Z Challenge!

During the month of April, I am participating in the "Blogging From A-Z April 2012 Challenge", where we post everyday during the month of April (except for Sundays).  Daily posts begin with the next letter of the alphabet.  This is my third year of participating in the challenge.  It isn't too late to sign up; just "CLICK HERE" to find out more.

This year, I have chosen to do a study on poet and artist, Cicely Mary Barker.  I am featuring her book "A Flower Fairy Alphabet"Not only will you learn about pretty flowers, but I will also be giving you a few fun facts about Ms. Barker each day.

On June 28, 1895, Cicely Mary Barker was born in Croydon, Surrey, South London.  Being a sickly child, Cicely was home-schooled.  Cicely spent many hours teaching herself how to draw and paint.  Later on, she took correspondence art courses and attended the Croydon School of Art.

Kathy, not a poem or poetry girl .. as you have decided to to for that subject. Your website is adorable ... I want to wish good luck with the challenge.

Good luck with the A-Z Challenge! I did it only once, a couple of years ago, and haven't participated again. It was too hard to find the time to get out to everyone else's sites, and I spent more time blogging than I did writing, so . . . no more A-Z for me, but I'll be back here to check out your daily posts!

She taught herself to draw?? She was a good teacher and good student then.
