This year, I have chosen to do a study on poet and artist, Cicely Mary Barker. I am featuring her book "A Flower Fairy Alphabet". Not only will you learn about pretty flowers, but I will also be giving you a few fun facts about Ms. Barker each day.

"Barker worked principally in watercolor with pen-and-ink, but she was equally competent in black-and-white, in oils, and in pastels. She carried a sketchbook with her for capturing interesting children. She once indicated, "I have always tried to paint instinctively in a way that comes naturally to me, without any real thought or attention to artistic theories."[2] Source: Wikipedia's Article on Cicely Mary Barker

I love pansies! I planted a ton of them last year and can't wait to do the same this year. There's something about their little faces that just makes me happy. :)
Yes, Pansy is quite the best for "P" - I am so enjoying your posts!

Those pansies are so beautiful and from a distance they look a bit like butterflies.

Yay -- my favorite flower. I plant in September, and they are good almost till June. When the heat hits, they're done. Love 'em!
Now, pansies I do recognize. :) We plant them here in October and they'll bloom all winter into spring and early summer. They look so fragile, but they're hearty!
I love pansies. Are those in your garden?
Blessings
