A Fairy Flower Alphabet, by Cicely Mary Barker did not contain a specific drawing or poem for the letter "U", but I found this one on Wikipedia. You can click on the link above to find out more about the Urceolina plant.
This year, I have chosen to do a study on poet and artist, Cicely Mary Barker. I am featuring her book "A Flower Fairy Alphabet". Not only will you learn about pretty flowers, but I will also be giving you a few fun facts about Ms. Barker each day.

I had never heard of a Urceolina flower before. Thanks for educating me.
That is a really lovely image of that flower, isn't it? It has a very classic feel to it. Very nice :)

Enchanting flower.
This is a new one on me, too. Lovely though! Is it known by any other name?
I wonder if the Urceolina hadn't been developed yet. Evidently poor Cicely Mary Barker didn't have Wikipedia to help her find a "U" flower.
